A very comprehensive set - but with certain glaring faults [eg., only German tanks are not allowed to mount roof mgs, except in march mode.] Airpower doesn't provide much "bang per point." The resolution of "overrun" is very unrealistic. Tank rules are fine - artillery are quite satisfactory. |

Wargames Rules 1925-1950 is an interesting set. It keeps combat resolution simple -- but realistic -- and concentrates more on command and control. If you are interested in recreating realistic operations, this set is for you. It's suitable for micro armour or 1/76 scale play, and makes infantry quite important. Controlling a platoon or company is practical, a battalion is possible in a big game with several players. |
